[ENG] The more I stare at the fractal finding words to describe it, the more I can't find words to describe it. So I won't describe it. Nonetheless I can say I've been pleasantly surprised by the outcome, most due to the gradient, I think. I really enjoyed the play of reflections. Rendering with Chaotica, besides, is outstandingly good. The complete fractal to the left, some details to the right. Let me know if you like it!
EDIT - 16/12/2011: ohmyfairgodaDD!! I never expected a day like this would come! I'm overwhelmed by your appreciation, comments and favourites! My heartfelt thanks to Chiara, the amazing *lindelokse, for considering my fractal worthy of a DD, and to ^n8iveattitude1 for turning her suggestion into reality. I'm humbly honoured for this.
Tools: Apophysis 7x; Chaotica for rendering; Photoshop Elements for colour adjustment, sharpness touchup and frame adding Resources: by *lyc (thank you!)
Sure! I'll be more than glad to help out! Yes, there is a bit of Xaos involved, but not only that. Reflections are made with bubble and pre_blur and set in transform 1 to very little weight in order to not othershadow the rest of the flame. The spherical transform, number 2, is set to a bigger weight but has a lower xaos: with that I've strenghtened the reflections a bit without making the main fractal shape too weak. I hope that helped. If you need any other explanation please feel free to drop me a line!
I'm assuming it's Xaos related.

I'll try it out, I've been practicing with Xaos anyway
Whoops, I just noticed a typo in my comment: that was *overshadow, obviously.
